Famous Mathematician Investigation
Type: Investigation
Theme: General
Grades: 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10
Learning Target: Students will construct an infographic and minibiography on a famous mathematician using the Desmos calculator.
For this investigation each student will:

Select one famous mathematician. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HEvxdJOkH2qaseEDZQedFJ0stAJdGxoRWmu0N_xQ/edit?usp=sharing. You may enter a new person into the datasheet. Only two students may share the same mathematicians. You may share information, but each student needs to produce their own Desmos graph. Enter your name under “Scholar.”

The following text must be in your infographic.

Mathematician’s name, date and nationality.

A brief one paragraph biography (don’t copy from the Internet). Be concise.

A quote from the mathematician or one about him or her.

Information describing the model you built.
