Type: Mini-lesson
Theme: Word Problems
Grades: 9, 10
Learning Target: Students will understand how to solve geometry word problems using quadratic equations.
Instructions
Example 1:
A gardener wants to fence three rectangular plots. If she has 120 yards of fencing and the total area of the plot is 450 square yards, give the dimensions of the plots. Keep in mind that only one layer of fencing needs to be between each plot.
